Wp Dental Re-Cord impregnated retraction cord
The foundation of a successful crown-and-bridge case or aesthetic restoration is obtaining a clear gingival margin. Wp Dental Re-Cord is a professional retraction cord made from 100% pure cotton that delivers high performance thanks to its braided structure.
Key features
- Unique braided structure: Unlike traditional twisted cords, Re-Cord is produced with a special braiding technology. It does not unravel when placed in the sulcus and stays in place
- Maximum absorption capacity: Cotton fibers rapidly absorb hemostatic solutions and deliver them in a controlled way to the application site
- Easy placement: Flexible structure does not catch on hand instruments (retraction packers) and adapts effortlessly into the gingival sulcus
- Different thickness options: Size alternatives suitable for every case type (thin or thick biotype)
Technical details and areas of use
- Impression taking: Digital or conventional impression processes where margins must be clearly recorded
- Cementation: Preventing gingival seepage while seating the restoration
- Cavity preparation: Cleaning caries at the gingival margin and filling applications
Size guide
The product is offered in 5 different thicknesses. Choosing the correct size is critical for both clinician comfort and patient tissue health:
- #000 Black: Very thin gingiva, lower anterior teeth, and as the lower cord in the double-cord technique
- #00 Brown: Ideal for the preparation stage in thin gingival biotypes
- #0 Purple: Provides retraction and hemostasis control in standard cases
- #1 Blue: Used on posterior (molar) teeth and medium-thickness gingiva
- #2 Green: Provides maximum opening in cases with wide sulcus depth
