Kerr Dental OptiBond FL

Kerr Dental OptiBond FL is a 4th-generation bonding system used on dentin and enamel.

Features

• Ethanol-based.
• With 48% glass fillers in its composition, polymerization shrinkage is low and bonding is stronger.
• Can be applied safely on dry and moist surfaces without layering.
• Can be used as both a base material and an adhesive in direct and indirect applications.
• Combines bonding and priming properties in a single product.
• No mixing required.
• A single light-cure application is sufficient.
• A single-use applicator option is available.

Application

• First isolate and dry the area where Kerr OptiBond FL will be applied.
• Apply 37.5% phosphoric acid on dentin and/or enamel for 15 seconds.
• Rinse with water for at least 15 seconds to remove the phosphoric acid.
• Air-dry dentin/enamel for 5 seconds and take care not to leave the dentin completely dry.
• Apply Kerr OptiBond FL primer gently on dentin/enamel with 15 seconds of contact.
• Air-dry for 5 seconds.
• Ensure the dentin/enamel surface has a slightly glossy appearance.
• Apply Kerr OptiBond FL adhesive on dentin/enamel with 15 seconds of contact.
• If needed, gently air-thin or spread toward the margin.
• Light-cure for 20 seconds.
• Composite placement continues the restoration.
