LM-OrthoSizer — size selection gauge (with handle — LM 942526)
Gauge for selecting the correct size. Measures total width of the upper incisors (from the distal surface of the left lateral to the distal of the right lateral) and indicates the matching size. Can be used with or without a handle.
- Place the raised mark of the OrthoSizer between the left upper lateral and canine
- Read the measurement between the right upper lateral and canine — sizes 10, 20, 30… large marks; 15, 25, 35… small marks
- With crowding or diastema, prefer 1–2 sizes larger or smaller; consider arch expansion in mixed dentition
- Fit LM-Activator and confirm teeth seat in the correct grooves; check canine guidance. Fitting instruments are autoclave-sterilizable
- Re-measure when upper and lower laterals begin to erupt — a larger appliance may be needed
