40% phosphoric acid etchant gel that becomes more fluid when shaken and re-gels on air contact for controlled application.

Kuraray K-Etchant Gel is a thixotropic etching gel used to etch enamel, dentin, porcelain, and polymerized composite in adhesive restorations. When the bottle is shaken, the content becomes more fluid for easier application. On contact with oxygen it returns to gel form so only the treatment area is etched.
Supplied in a 6 ml bottle.
Clinical indications
- Etching of uncut enamel and dentin in particular
- Surface cleaning of ceramic, hybrid ceramic, composite resin, or metal restorations
- Activation of silica-based ceramic or composite resin restoration surfaces
