What are the advantages of using Splendor?
- Universal — adapts to all types of canals: narrow, medium, and wide
- Anatomical and provides high retention
Is there a special drill for Splendor?
- Yes, the Splendor drill was developed specifically for the system.
What is the shape of Splendor?
- The pin is parallel and the sleeve is tapered.
For cementation, can we bond the sleeve before the post?
- Ideally, place the pin first to ensure it reaches the planned length.
Do you have only one pin and sleeve size?
- Yes — because it is universal, there is only one size.
What is the cementation technique for Splendor?
- Rinse the canal with water jets and dry with air and absorbent paper points
- Condition the canal for 15 seconds with 37% ANGELUS® phosphoric acid; rinse with water and dry with air and absorbent paper points
- Apply the adhesive system primer and wait 1 minute
- Apply the selected adhesive to the canal, sleeve, and pin according to the instructions for use
- Mix chemically activated or dual-activated resin cement and fill the canal
- First place the pin in the canal, then place the sleeve over it; remove excess cement and wait for polymerization
- If the cement is dual-activated, light-cure
- IMPORTANT: Zinc phosphate and glass ionomer cements (conventional and resin-modified) may also be used, but their mechanical properties are lower than resin cements for cementation
- Self-adhesive cements do not require acid conditioning or adhesive application
What is the difference between Exacto, Reforpost, and Splendor pins?
- Exacto and Reforpost have no sleeve and come in various drill and pin sizes; Splendor is universal: 1 size
- Exacto is tapered and Reforpost is parallel; Splendor has a parallel pin and a tapered sleeve
