B&B Dental T-Barrier — Resorbable Collagen Membrane, 23 × 23 mm

T-Barrier Collagen Membrane is a resorbable collagen membrane indicated for guided tissue regeneration in dental surgery. It is indicated whenever new bone regeneration is needed—primarily in oral surgery, periodontology, and implantology.

It is pure, high-quality animal-derived collagen manufactured under strict CE-controlled processes. The membrane is lyophilized and non-allergenic, with an optimally rough surface that forms a secure barrier over the defect. Suturing is not required for stability. It prevents epithelial cell formation under connective tissue and allows osteoblast colonization in the cavity to support new bone formation.

Maximum flexibility and tissue adhesion allow easy adaptation to the defect. It fully resorbs in 180 days, so a second surgery is not required. Graft materials should be used to protect the defect cavity for optimal GTR. Compatible with autogenous bone and commercially available bone grafts. Contraindicated in acute infection and contaminated wounds.

Packaging and protection

• Each box contains 2 membranes, each double-enveloped and gamma-sterilized, size 23 × 23 × 0.25 mm
• Alternate packaging note in source: 1 × 22 × 22 collagen membrane (horse-derived)

Use

• Use sterile instruments; the person opening the first envelope must not touch the surgical field
• Place the second envelope onto a sterile field and open it with a sterile instrument
• Position the membrane to fully cover the bone defect and extend 2–3 mm onto healthy bone
• Initially firm; when moistened with sterile water, physiological solution, plasma, or blood it can be shaped without losing form or roughness; place with sterile tweezers
• If exposed, protect the site with chlorhexidine gel until epithelium covers the area
