EDDY tips are driven by an air scaler at frequencies up to 6,000 Hz. Vibration is transferred to a polyamide tip that oscillates with high amplitude thanks to the material properties.

This three-dimensional motion triggers cavitation and acoustic streaming associated with higher cleaning efficiency. Sonic-assisted EDDY tips deliver irrigant activation comparable to ultrasonics, while the soft polymer tip sets a combined safety and efficiency standard.

EDDY also supports placement and removal of calcium hydroxide and placement of sealer.
