Tungsten carbide polishing bur; follow recommended speed and cooling for safe preparation.
Excessive speed can damage gingiva and living tissue; the same risk applies if insufficient water cooling is used during the procedure.
Recommended pressure range depending on the procedure is 0.3–2 N.
Excessive pressure adversely affects preparation and increases the risk of bur fracture.
If burs are longer than 19 mm and diameter is 1.8 mm, external extra cooling is required.
Incorrect use can harm preparation quality and damage the turbine head.
Product features
- For optimum performance, check recommended speeds in the table and use burs at those speeds.
- Excessive speed can deform large-head burs and increase fracture risk.
- Do not apply unnecessary pressure during preparation.
- Minimal contact during preparation helps maximize bur life.
- If the bur runs at 1,500 rpm, minimum water for adequate cooling is 50 ml/min.
- Depending on the procedure, protective eyewear is recommended.
- Storing burs on a stand or tray can deform their shape.
- Discard dull, damaged, bent, or off-axis burs immediately.
