VOCO Meron Plus AC Capsule — Glass Ionomer Cement

Meron Plus AC (Advanced Capsule) is a resin-reinforced glass ionomer luting cement known for high bond strength and ease of application. Capsule form eliminates hand-mixing errors and guarantees ideal consistency every time. Resin reinforcement provides much higher fracture resistance than conventional glass ionomers and excellent adaptation to tooth tissue.

Key Features

  • High bond strength to tooth tissue and restoration materials (zirconia, metal, ceramic)
  • Excellent marginal adaptation — thin film thickness helps prevent leakage and supports full seating
  • Continuous fluoride release — helps minimize secondary caries risk
  • Moisture tolerant — superior performance even in slightly moist environments
  • Easy cleanup — excess separates easily from gingiva and restoration in the gel phase

Indications

  • Cementation of metal-ceramic (PFM) crowns and bridges
  • Cementation of zirconia dioxide–based crowns and bridges
  • High-strength all-ceramic systems (e.g. lithium disilicate)
  • Cementation of metal, ceramic, and fiber posts
  • Fixation of orthodontic bands

Technical Details

  • Chemically composed of fluorosilicate glass and polyacid derivatives; resin modification minimizes solubility
  • Working time: approx. 2 minutes at 23°C
  • Setting time: approx. 3–5 minutes in the mouth
  • No acid etching required in most cases — can be applied directly without additional etching or bonding

Packaging

  • Box: 50 single-use application capsules
  • Capsule volume: approx. 0.1 ml usable cement each
  • Typically universal shades (mostly A1 or A2 tones)
