OraSeal Caulking material can prevent rubber dam leaks even when the dam is submerged in fluid. Apply around the margins, then use crosswise strokes over the hole until sealing is complete. Use OraSeal Caulking when an adequate seal is difficult to achieve. It can also repair rubber dam leaks.

When performing porcelain repair, covering the rubber dam protects the gingiva from hydrofluoric acid. Apply into undercuts and under implant bars, precision attachments, etc., to prevent cold acrylic or impression material from entering voids. Fill gingival embrasures of bridges and splints to make cleanup of permanent cement easier. Also used to fill screw holes in implant superstructures before taking impressions.

OraSeal Putty performs the same functions with a thicker consistency preferred by some clinicians.
