New Dent Obturation Pen Warm Gutta Device
Cordless Obturation Pen System for warm vertical condensation during RCT. Heats to 150°C in about 2 seconds. Dual-seat tip change saves chair time.
Using the Obturation Pen, pressure is applied vertically to heat-softened gutta-percha so it flows and fills the entire canal lumen.
Clinical Notes for Warm Vertical Condensation
- A continuous tapered funnel should exist from the canal orifice to the apex
- Needle type and temperature mode are adjustable for a smaller gutta tip
- Prepare the canal to shape; do not alter or transport the apical foramen
- Keep the apical foramen as small as practical so excess gutta-percha is not forced through during vertical condensation
