Synthetic absorbable surgical suture — polyglycolic acid, braided coated multifilament. Composition: polyglycolic acid; coating polycaprolactone and calcium stearate (1%). Minimal tissue reaction. Hydrolytic breakdown leads to total absorption in about 60–90 days. After 21 days, about 50% of tensile strength remains.

- 14 days: ~70%

- Suture color: violet; beige — undyed

Soft-tissue closure and/or ligation — especially general surgery, skin closure, GI surgery, gynecology, obstetrics, plastic surgery, urology, ophthalmic surgery, orthopedics.
