Plugger & Temperature Q&A
- Smallest Calamus plugger: ISO 40, taper .03, small black plugger; outer surface stainless steel
- At maximum power the tip can exceed 400°C; at the lowest power setting heat can be set down to 100°C; recommended working temperature for filling is 200°C
- Maximum heat setting should be used only when burning gutta-percha; for continuous-wave removal use the lower 200°C setting
- Recommended: 200°C for vertical condensation and continuous-wave technique; 180°C FLOW filling heat setting
