Astringedent hemostatic is an aqueous 15.5% ferric sulfate hemostatic solution with pH ≈ 1.0. “Strongly recommended as effective and easy to use for bleeding control, tissue management, and pulpotomies. Rating +++++.” Astringedent hemostatic solution is well suited to stop bleeding in various dental and oral surgical procedures. It can also be used during direct bonding to prevent leakage caused by sulcular fluid contamination. Unlike other hemostatic liquids, it is made for cases with difficult bleeding problems. Stops bleeding in seconds and shortens working time. Provides ideal pre-impression preparation and helps avoid multiple impression takes. Ideal for vital pulpotomies.

Note: ViscoStat™ and Astringedent hemostatic agents are more viscous and should be used with a Metal Dento-Infusor™ tip, because flow through the plastic Blue Mini™ Dento-Infusor™ tip is lower. When working with newly healed epithelial tissue, a plastic Dento-Infusor Tip should be used because the soft tip is less aggressive.
