Long-shank root separation burs for clinical sectioning; follow recommended speed and cooling guidance.
- Recommended working pressure range: 0.3–2 N depending on the procedure
- Excess speed or pressure can damage soft tissue and raise fracture risk
- Burs longer than 19 mm or over 1.8 mm diameter need external extra cooling
- At 1500 rpm, use at least 50 ml/min of coolant water
- Discard dull, damaged, bent, or off-axis burs immediately
