Selfcuring resin for temporary crowns and bridges, combination powder and liquid for
the application performed by the dentist.

Composition
Powder contains: polyethylmethacrylate/polymethylacrylate
Liquid contains: n-butylmethacrylate/urethanacrylate/ethylmethacrylate

Area of application
Fabrication of temporary crowns and bridges with the direct method, temporary crowns
with confectioned crown forms.

Kind of application
Mix powder and liquid in a ratio of 2 g : 1.2 up to 1.5 ml.
Place liquid in mixing cup. Dosing of the liquid can be achieved by using the dosing
insert or by use of the enclosed dropper. To use the dropper, the dosing insert has to be
removed from the bottle first. Pour powder and mix for 40 s with a glass spatula to a
homogeneous mix. The resin is then pourable for 40 s. The plastic phase begins with
2 min and continues up to 5 min. Dentalon® plus has polymerized after 9.5 min and can
thereafter be trimmed and polished immediately. Times mentioned are subject to ambient
temperatures and can vary.

Handling

Temporary crowns and bridges
Prepare situation impression with alginate or silicone prior to preparation. Keep impression
until termination of preparation (store alginate impression wet). Prepare teeth, thereafter insulate cores thinly with
vaseline or silicone grease. Mix Dentalon® plus and pour during pouring phase into impression. With temporary bridges remove
as much impression material between pontics to be able to model a functional bridge unit. As soon as a good plastic consistency
is reached, insert impression into mouth. During the curing phase is it possible to remove impression and remove resin excess.

Select crown cap after preparation and cut cervically. Thereafter insulate core with vaseline or silicone grease in a thin layer.
Mix Dentalon® plus. Fill up crown cap during pouring phase and insert during plastic phase. Remove crown from core during
curing phase and complete polymerization.

Dentalon® plus is treated with coarse and middle fine staggered diamond burs. Treat material without pressure and polish to high
gloss with a rag wheel and conventional polishing paste.

Crown and bridge temporaries are luted in with conventional temporary luting cements.

Further precautions
Dentalon® plus should not be used if allergies resulting from components of the system are known.
Systemic side effects are not known. Single cases of allergic type IV reactions are mentioned.
Discoloration can happen if in contact with cationic mouthwashes as well as plaque relevators and chlorhexidine.
Do not use material after expiry date. Do not store above 25°C (77°F), avoid direct exposure to sun. Close container immediately
after use. 
Keep out of reach of children.
Irritating; product contains ethyl methacrylate, urethandiacrylate, butylmethacrylate.
Inflamable. Irritating to eyes, respiratory system and skin. May cause sensitization by skin contact. Keep away
from sources of ignition – No smoking. Avoid contact with skin. In case of contact
with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. Wear suitable gloves.
