everX BulkFill Fiber-Reinforced Posterior Composite — 50×0.25 mg
Fiber-reinforced composite designed to replace dentin, used together with a conventional composite (e.g. Essentia Universal shade) that replaces enamel. GC everX Posterior must always be covered with a layer of light-curing composite.
Indications
- Cavities with 3 or more surfaces to be restored
- Cavities with missing cusps
- Deep cavities (including Class I, II and endodontically treated teeth)
- Cavities after amalgam replacement (especially where amalgam placement often causes cracks and cusp fracture)
- Cavities also indicated for onlays and inlays
Features
- Short fibers of everX Posterior form an excellent substructure to reinforce any composite restoration in large cavities
- Fibers help prevent and stop crack progression — a main cause of composite failure
- Short fibers prevent and stop fracture progression in the restoration
- Fracture toughness equivalent to dentin and nearly double that of almost any composite — unique strength for the restoration
- Minimal horizontal shrinkage as fiber; contributes to reduced shrinkage in the orientation direction
- Increments of 4 to 5 mm can be cured at once; reliable bond to overlay composite and tooth structure
