Long-shank root separation bur, pack of 10.
Excessive speed can injure gingiva and vital tissues; the same risk applies if cooling water is insufficient during use. Recommended working pressure is typically 0.3–2 N depending on the procedure. Excessive pressure can impair preparation quality and raise fracture risk.
Burs longer than 19 mm with diameter over 1.8 mm need additional external cooling. Inadequate cooling can harm the preparation and damage the turbine head.
Performance tips
- Use only within the manufacturer-recommended speed range
- Avoid unnecessary pressure during preparation
- Keep contact light to extend bur life
- At ~1500 rpm, provide at least 50 ml/min cooling water
- Wear protective eyewear as appropriate
- Do not store burs loosely in a tray where tips can be bent
- Discard dull, damaged, bent, or out-of-true burs immediately
