Canal preparation

Preparation notes

• Create a glide path — check canal patency and create a glide path to apical constriction or foramen with at least ISO size 10
• Determine working length electronically with an apex locator (e.g. RAYPEX® 6) and C-PILOT® file
• Enlarge canal access with brushing motion; Mtwo® can remove coronal-third obstacles; separate coronal enlargement is unnecessary; Mtwo® 25/.06 can be used if greater access enlargement is desired
• Correct brushing motion reduces instrument stress and leads to optimum preparation results
• Single-length technique: first instrument 10/.04 is taken to full working length without forcing pressure; then change to the next instrument in sequence through the basic sequence

Final steps & obturation

After preparation with the Mtwo® basic sequence (10/.04 – 25/.06), any filling method may be used. Cold condensation: place Mtwo® gutta-percha point matching preparation size and condense laterally if needed. Warm condensation: GUTTAFUSION® warm vertical carrier technique or BeeFill2in1® vertical condensation with Mtwo® gutta-percha master point, then downpack and fill techniques.
