Collimated LED Curing Light - Radii-Cal CX Features
For Deep and Reliable Curing with Collimated Beam and Uniformity:
LED curing lights without collimators provide significantly less energy per curing depth. As shown in Figure 1, the power of the non-collimated curing light rapidly decreases and offers very little curing energy for larger restorations. The collimated beam of the Radii-Cal CX delivers uniform energy at all curing depths, providing a fast and predictable curing process for all restorations.
Example of Collimated Beam:
As Dr. Richard Price states, "What you are looking for is an optimally collimated beam of light. Think of a lighthouse and the light coming from the lighthouse. What you want is light that has good output over distance."
Advanced Heat Management
Heat Management Technology: Heat dissipation is critical for all curing lights. An increase in heat reduces clinical performance and shortens the curing light's lifespan. The Radii-Cal CX features heat dissipation technology that protects the LED from damaging heat. This technology allows the device to perform continuous curing without requiring mandatory cooling periods, thereby extending the device's life.
Lightweight and Ergonomic Design
Ergonomic and Lightweight Construction: The Radii-Cal CX minimizes fatigue and maximizes comfort thanks to its ergonomic and lightweight design. The handpiece weighs only 144g / 5.1 oz. It is designed for pen or gun grip, reducing hand and arm fatigue. An indentation designed for finger placement provides ergonomic support when curing in the upper or lower quadrants.
Smart Battery Management
Easy Charging: The Radii-Cal CX is easily rechargeable by placing it in the charging station. There is no need to remove or charge the batteries separately. The charging station lights up with five green indicators to show a full charge.
Long-lasting Battery: The Radii-Cal CX does not require frequent charging between patients. On a full charge, it can perform 1,200 curing cycles of 10 seconds each.
Sensitivity Protection Ramp
Soft-Start Polymerization: The Radii-Cal CX gradually increases light output power during the first 5 seconds. This "soft start" polymerization minimizes stress at the restoration-enamel/dentin interface and reduces marginal gaps in the restoration. As a result, the long-term integrity of the restoration is preserved, and post-operative sensitivity decreases.
Built-in Radiometer Function Control
The Radii-Cal CX includes a calibrated built-in radiometer to monitor the device's functionality.
Optimal Wavelength Spectrum
Targeted Wavelength: The Radii-Cal CX LED targets a wavelength range of 440-480 nm to effectively activate camphorquinone monomers. This ensures effective curing of light-activated restorative materials.
