Coxo CA-1 Intraoral and Extraoral Air Abrasion Unit
Dental air abrasion unit for cavity detection and treatment, polishing, cleaning, and drying — intraoral and extraoral use.
Most dental air abrasion units use aluminum oxide or glass beads; sodium bicarbonate media are used for lighter polishing work. These systems are often preferred in pediatric dentistry when anesthesia, noise, and vibration are to be avoided. Units may attach to a handpiece or run as a standalone device. Compressed air is required; typical operating pressure is about 40–100 psi. Some setups add a water stream to the abrasive flow for patient comfort.
