Tests are required and intended to verify both the machines in use and the overall sterilization process. Test frequency should follow the clinic’s internal protocols.
Recommended test frequency
- Daily: vacuum test
- Daily: hollow-load (Helix) and/or porous-load steam penetration test (Bowie & Dick)
- Each cycle: cycle parameter verification test
